Congo: Celebration of Africa Day

May 25 of each year is declared “World Day of Africa.” And UPF Congo Brazzaville celebrated World Day of Africa, on May 25, 2019 at the conference room of the Ministry of Justice in Brazzaville.
151 people participated at this celebration which included representatives of the various African countries, the parliamentarians, the religious leaders, the school directors, the leaders of the NGOs and Media.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chairman, Dr. Julien Francis Moufonda presented the UPF and underlined the importance of the day and the objectives of the founding fathers of the African Union to promote unity, cooperation, integration and solidarity, the cohesion of African peoples and development for a prosperous and peaceful Africa.
Constructive exchanges took place on the major issues of Africa. The situation of Libya has been discussed. A minute of silence was observed in memory of the Honorable IBARA Felix NDELI, Ambassador of Peace and Deputy. Very active in the UPF, he took part in the launch of the AIPP in Burkina Faso and the 1st African Summit in Dakar, Senegal.
Secretary General of UPF Congo, Mr. TSANA Clément after giving an overview of the UPF philosophy, taught on “The Principles of Peace Building and Conflict Resolution” and the attitude of an Ambassador for Peace.
After the video presentation about UPF and True Parents worldwide activities, our National Leader, Rev. Norbert Ndielle spoke on the 5 Universal Principles of Peace, followed by the ceremony of nomination of 5 Ambassadors for Peace.
The choir “Nouvel Espoir” created a joyful atmosphere at the event. And the event was covered by several media including National Television.
