Cote d’Ivoire: New Ambassadors for Peace

On May 18, 2019, the Peace Council of Yopougon was renewed and holding an event to welcomed 11 new Peace Ambassadors. The event took place at the ASTORIA Palace hotel complex and mobilized around 150 guests, including Community Chiefs, Religious Leaders, Youth Leaders and Business Leaders. We also were happy to have the president of FFWPU Cote d’Ivoire among us during the event.
Up to this time, UPF Cote d’Ivoire nominated 4875 Peace Ambassadors in our country.
One of the participants, Dr. ANO Kouao, said: “I am a Council President very happy for taking up the challenge. Our next mission will be to meet the authorities and to lead them in the same boat of Peace”.
Rev. GONTY Paul said: “I am very happy to take part in this beautiful ceremony … henceforth the UPF Cote d”Ivoire put me on a mission and I am going to commit myself to really being an Ambassador of Peace …”
Nanan KPOPLI II, who is a Village Leader, said: “Peace is a blessing given by GOD. Our work as a community leader obliges us to act with divine wisdom. I therefore thank the UPF and I know that these lessons heard this afternoon you really help me to lead my people.
