Benin: Women Peace Ambassadors
Prepared by WFWP Benin
On December 12, 2018 at the Beaurivage Hotel in Porto-Novo we held the second phase of education programs for the Peace Ambassadors and introducing some new ambassadors. Once again, the women Network of Parliamentary Public Servants of the National Assembly of Benin honored. We held the first phase on September 16, 2018.
After the welcoming address by President of the Women’s Federation for World Peace Benin, Mrs LOKO Marie-Jeanne, our Special Envoy, Rev. Tatsuo Sasaki spoke on the social development in Africa. Then, a presentation of the five universal principles of the Peace Ambassadors were presented by Vice-President of the WFWP-Benin, Mrs. Blandine EHOUMAN and more explicit by Dr. Paterne ZINSOU of the Africa headquarters. Finally, we introduced 11 new Ambassadors of Peace.
Dr. Paterne ZINSOU urged the recipients to work harder to promote peace. In addition, Ms. Claudine Madorite former Peace Ambassador welcomed new nominees and encouraged them to give the best of themselves in this new mission entrusted to them. Finally, a family photo and a cocktail party ended the ceremony.
The recipient spokesperson thanked the WFWP Benin for the event. She then urged fellow female recipients to work harder to promote peace in their respective families, their entourage, the nation and the African continent. She finally promised on behalf of all the distinguished women never to disappoint the WFWP and its founder Mrs. Hak-Ja Han Moon.
