This camp aimed to engage youth in contributing to society through practicing the culture of living for the sake of other, namely the Hyo Jeong culture. During the camp, YSP-Cambodia organized a unique activity called “True Father’s Walk”, which paired up male participant with male participant, while woman with woman to carry each other on his/her back for 2,000m long to go and back.
Mr. Pheav Hang, Director of YSP in Kampot city chapter emphasized that “through experiencing of True Father’s walk (The heart of True Father when he carried his disciple for many kilometers after liberating from Heungnam Prison in North Korea), we could learn how to put true love in action by carrying each other, and also we could learn how to overcome difficulties which we are facing in life; that is not to give up but to move forward until reaching the goal.”
Moreover, during the 2-day program, YSP-Cambodia also organized Hyo Jeong Character Education session, Peace Road 2018, and Peace Service Project to the community. For the Hyo Jeong Character Education, we gave a short education on the importance of keeping purity, setting up life goal, preparing for building a healthy family, and contributing to society to over 200 high school students.
For the Peace Road 2018, we combined together the university students with those high school students to connect the world for peace. YSP’s last day program was peace service project to support over 130 primary school students in the community with stationary and hygiene education.
