Côte d’Ivoire: Network of Maternal Hearts for Peace

The Women’s Federation for World Peace Côte d’Ivoire, launched the Africa project “Network of Maternal Hearts for Peace” on September 27, 2018. At the same time, we celebrated the 26th anniversary of the WFWP and the International Day of Peace.
The event started with the national anthem, followed by the opening prayer offered by Pastor KOUADIO Parfait of FFWPU Abidjan. The president of the organizing committee Ms. Enan Marie-Thérèse welcomed the assembly. Rev BEUGRE Richard the President of the FFWPU Côte d’Ivoire then spoke to remind the value of peace and encourage all the participants.
Then a video presentation of the activities of the WFWP informed the participants and allowed the National President Mrs. YESSOH Hélène to invite them to join the network “Mother’s courses for Peace” presented by Mrs. Likane Paulette (1st President of the WFWP Côte d’Ivoire) It is an initiative that aims to bring all women together, to break down the barriers that separate them, to build their capacities and to create strong pillars of the culture of the heart for peace and reconciliation in every nation focused on Leadership and Women’s participation.
To mark the beginning of the actions of this network school kits are offered to brilliant students and presents to the leaders of associations and NGOs.
Rev. AHONDJO Eugene President FFWPU Africa Region 1 introduced the five principles of peace for the distinction of five new ambassadors of peace.
The president of UPF Côte d’Ivoire, Mr AKA Sayé Lazare took the floor for the congratulations and to signify that they are on mission.
To close the ceremony, the godmother gave a message of encouragement to the preservation of peace.
