San Marino: Round Table on Promoting Peace with the Logic of Love

Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Palazzo Graziani in San Marino was held a Round Table promoted by WFWP – Women’s Federation for World Peace, in collaboration with the UPF – Universal Peace Federation, on the theme: “Promoting Peace with the logic of love”, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
The initiative was promoted as part of the “Football for Peace” project: 16 girls born in 2004 from the State of Israel will be guests of the Republic of San Marino from 28 to 31 August protagonists of the project “A Soccer for Peace”, supported by the FSGC in collaboration with the UPF (Universal Peace Federation) San Marino. The initiative, which intends to use football as an instrument of peace and integration for the Middle East region, reaches its fourth edition this year, the third hosted in the territory of San Marino.
The girls are accompanied by the principal of a lower secondary school, Prof. Tamam Wakid-Dabbah and among others, also by two Arab-Israeli Parliamentarians. The principal has been the main speaker of the Round Table, together with women from San Marino and Italians involved in the social and institutional sphere.
Prof. Tamam Wakid-Dabbah, directs a mixed school of Muslims and Christians, composed of both males and females and emphasizes a multicultural education and peace. She elaborated on the topic of relations between Arabs and Israelis.
Prof. Fausta Morganti, Former Head of State and Minister of Education for 15 years made good remarks about the situation in San Marino.
