Russia: Eastern Europe Teens Seek God at 14-Day Workshop
Prepared by FFWPU Russia
Twenty-two Second Generation teenagers attended a 14-day Divine Principle workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia, from August 5 to 18, 2018.
The participants, who were 15 years and older, came from Moldova, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Estonia and different cities of Russia.
The workshop, which was held in the St. Petersburg church center, consisted of lectures on Divine Principle (at the seven-days level), True Parents’ course, two lectures on the Blessing and internal guidance. The young people also went sightseeing in St. Petersburg, visited such places as the Hermitage, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, swept the canals and rivers of St.
Petersburg by boat and participated in different outdoors activities in the beautiful nature. A Divine Principle test was given, which all the participants passed successfully.
Part of the program was a two-day camping trip to Vuoksa Lake in the Karelian region. Eight hours of rowing, fishing, campfire, songs and the original beauty of God’s creation touched everyone’s heart.
All the participants could meet with God during a special Jeongseong condition that was done by the whole workshop. In their reflections the teenagers wrote that through this workshop they could better understand True Parents’ and their own parents’ course. They wrote that they want to prepare themselves for the Blessing and look forward to participating in future programs of the Second Generation “road map” (the Eastern Europe region plan for educating blessed children). All the participants became good friends and were very happy to spend time with each other.
