Haiti: Inauguration of IAPP

Universal Peace Federation (UPF) has inaugurated the Haitian section of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP) Friday, September 21, 2018 coincidentally to the International Day of Peace
In the presence of the deputy Caleb DESRAMEAUX, vice-president of the National Assembly and 8 other deputies and a Senator of the Republic, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) installed the Haitian section of the IAPP chaired by the national leader Rev. Theodule Paul
“The Republic of Haiti is an unstable country; who knows from time to time violence, what’s more normal to install a section of AIPP, “said the Senator, Patrice DUMONT just after his inauguration. “By joining AIPP, Haitian parliamentarians want to contribute to building a world of peace by engaging decision-makers and opinion leaders. In the face of global disorder, we must be able to provide answers, the Haitian parliamentarians are resolutely committed to all threats … “, he added.
As for Deputy Patrick NORZEUS, President of AIPP-Haiti, he urged, on behalf of the founder of this organization, decision makers and leaders to work for universal peace, democracy and good governance.
“Democracy is the most practiced form of governance in the world, you are servants of the people, you must serve the public good, demonstrate good governance, transparency. Those who hold positions of power must be of good character. Religion and moral principles and values are an important factor.
The AIPP is an international organization its purpose is to promote peace and human development in the world.
On this occasion, 8 Deputies and 1 Senator were distinguished Ambassadors for Peace.
80 people attended the inauguration of the IAPP in Haiti on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.
