Zambia: Inauguration of YSP

The Youth and Students for Peace, Zambia held its launching ceremony on the 29th of July, 2018 at the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Church hall at Barlastone Training in Lusaka. The program started at 3pm with invited guests from different organizations, we had a participation of about 200 participants.
The program was guided by two representatives from VicTalk Motivation, Visctor Lwaba and as masters of ceremony. The opening prayer was given by Mrs. Kamunga, a representative from the United Churches of Zambia (UCZ) youth representative and everyone then sang the National Anthem of Zambia.
The UPF Secretary General-Zambia, Rev. Rudolf Faerber gave the welcoming address recognizing all the invited guests according to protocol.
The YSP-Zambia President, Andrico Tshaba gave a speech illustrating the aim of YSP through the education of the four great realms of heart and sexual purity. He further went on to say that life for the sake of others is of core essence and that this can only be achieved through love.
The President of FFWPU-Zambia, Rev. David Isaac Phiri followed up with a speech that further explained the need for the education of marriage values as it can be noticed that despite an increase in the number of churches, sin still increases regardless. He placed emphasis on the need for youth to live a life that leaves behind a good legacy and that they need to rise, aiming to build a peaceful ideal World. He then advised the need to bring God to His original position as we cannot live merely by Human effort.
A performance by the Tong-il Moo-do (TIMD) team gave an illustration of how martial arts is one of the paths toward the unity of mind and body. The Director, Master Kouame guided the audience throughout the performance stating that this form of Martial Arts is an art that Rev. Sun Myung Moon encouraged as a culture on how youth can establish good character.
The youth under YSP then showed their unconditional love for Heavenly Parent and True Parents through the Moojokon dance of which our beloved True Mother loves so much.
Mrs. Susan Kone, IVP Africa, representing the Heavenly Africa Group Chairman, Rev Bakary Camara, gave an inaugural speech that talked about the passion that True Parents have for the youth. She urged the youth to wake up and participate in the society as they are the target in any given situation. She advised that this can be done through unity as youth.
A music professor from a re-owned Zambian music school then entertained the audience with a great Jazz performance.
Gratitude remarks were then offered by an IAPD Coordinator, Pastor Eric Kashala Mutewa and an elder from the United Church of Zambia, expressed their gratitude and requested that their youth may be invited to take part in forums such as these, as they are very educative.
The guest of honour, Rt. Hon. Gen. Malimba Masheke, Chairman of UPF-Zambia gave the closing remarks giving emphasis on the importance of youth. He stated that true happiness can be achieved through genuine relationships and that genuine relationship enhance future good leaders.
The resolution banner was then signed followed by group pictures.
The audience was very happy and responsive throughout the program, creating a good atmosphere.
We would like to give our sincere gratitude to the FFWPU, UPF, WFWP, VictTalk Motivation, and YSP members that dedicated their time by spending sleepless night to make this event a success.
