Ghana: Celebration of International Youth Day

On Sunday, 12th August 2018, YSP Ghana in collaboration with UPF Ghana held an event to commemorate the international Youth Day with young entrepreneurs, leaders of civil society; students presidents of universities and heads of the Disabled association of Ghana.
In addition, there were youth stakeholders, President of Wait/Ghana, the president of private universities in Ghana, the president of Second circle institutions of Ghana, the CEO of Vodec Ghana and many others.
The event was held in the premise of Basilissa, located in Achimota Mall, in Accra. Twenty three,23 people attended the event.
Deliberations were focused on the idea of setting up an organizing committee that will coordinate the Guns Down Africa 2020 Peace Campaign and the Peace Award Night that is said to be part of the activities that should mark the 2018 International Day of Peace in Ghana.
Dr Helen Osei, General Secretary of UPF/Ghana summarized the goal of Universal Peace Federation and made a short presentation on the award categories that would be presented during the Award night.
Rev Tegah, president of YSP/Ghana outlined the motivation, the purpose and the impacts that Guns Down Africa 2020 Peace Campaign may have in Ghana in particular and in Africa in general.
