Paraguay: Peace Road 2018

On June 8, 2018, Peace Road Paraguay 2018 held it´s Launching Ceremony at the National Congress of Paraguay.
The Bicameral Room was crowded with 160 leaders from different areas such as, Social, Political, Religious, NGO´s and others.
After the National Hymn and the opening prayer by ACLC president Pastor Pedro Acosta, Dr Enrique Castro, director of the Cultural Department of the National Congress gave the welcoming remarks. Then Rev. Dong Mo Shin greeted the Participants.
After the Peace Road Introduction Video, Prof. Gustavo Giuliano, director of peace Road Paraguay explained about Peace Road Paraguay, proposing the mobilization of 1000 people in 16 busses to San Pablo to participate in the March of hope and True Mothers speech at the Palmeiras Stadium.
The main speeches were given by the President of FFWPU, Mr Aristides Rondan, Senator and former First Lady Emilia Alfaro de Franco, Deputy Del Pilar Medina and Catholic Priest Rafael Ruiz Gaona.
They talked about Family and Marriage, the importance of being active in order to create a Peaceful World and overcome racial, social, religious and national barriers.
The senator, deputy and catholic priest all gave a deep testimony about their experiences in Korea with True Mother.
Special Emissary Rev. Sung Jong Seo then gave Peace Ambassador Certificates to: Ybycui City Mayor Mrs. Maria del Carmen Benitez Diaz, who is also President of OBACI, organization which englobes the mayors of every city in Paraguay. Dr. Eva Maria Perez, technical counselor of the Armed Forces in Paraguay, and the young Soprano Singer Ms. Magali Chase.
The event was covered by the TV channel of the Congress, CAMARA TV, as well as by many Radio Stations.
The event ended with a beautiful performance by Soprano Magali Chase, who delighted the audience with several Paraguayan songs.
The participants were deeply inspired by Peace Road Initiative and especially the new Peace Ambassadors all said they feel deeply compromised with the Vision of True Parents, especially about Family and Peace.
