Côte d’ivoire: Special Reconciliation Worship Service
Prepared by FFWPU Côte d’ivoire
On May 20, 2018, we held a special worship service at the FFPMU Center in Divo which is a city located in the Loh Djiboua Region, 190 km from Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast (Côte d’ivoire). Around 50 members participated at the event.
The city of Divo once contributed enormously to the activities at the national level. However, since the end of 2017, a recurring leadership problem has divided the membership and plunged siblings into complete lethargy to the point that results have become almost non-existent in this province.
Indeed, a conflict of position and lack of unity between the former Provincial Leader, Brother Dago and the current leader, Maurice YABI is at the base of this division.
Also, after several actions of mediation of the National Headquarters, our Sunday worship service on May 20 was the occasion for the “enemy brothers” to bury the hatchet of war. A sermon bearing, inspired by the words of Our True Mother and bearing on the no less evocative theme of “Forgive, Love and Unite” was given by the National Leader.
At the end of the event, the current leader, Maurice YABI, was officially reconfirmed as Divo Province Leader, and to the general satisfaction of all leaders warmly embraced in the manner of Esau and Jacob, in biblical history.
The worship service took place at the home of the former Leader and a delicious meal of reconciliation was shared by all the brothers and sisters at the residence of the current Leader.
May God and the True Parents bless this new beginning in Providence of Divo.
