Bulgaria: Celebrating the International Day of Families
Prepared by UPF Bulgaria
We celebrated the International Day of Families in the Peace Embassy of Sofia on Sunday, 20 May. 10 new guests came, most of them from a literature club, where our sister, Rumiana Russeva is also a member.
First Mihaela Sergeeva gave a lecture about our family ideal, then Edina Zsolcsak-Dimitrova introduced FFWPU, its partner organizations and recent activities, including the Peace Starts With Me Festival. We projected a short movie about the Peace Blessing and encouraged the audience to bring their families next time to participate in our marriage re-dedication ceremony.
After that we had a cultural program (music and poetry) prepared by our guests and Rumiana presented her new book, which contains fairy tales that she wrote based on True Parents’ life. At the end, we prepared a small reception with sandwiches and some Japanese specialties prepared by Momoko Palyushev.
All the guests were very positive, they accepted True Father’s autobiography that we offered them as a present with a grateful heart and showed interest about our program for the next month.
