Malaysia: Youth are the Leaders of Tomorrow

On 24 March 2018, in the conjunction with annual general meeting of UPF Malaysia, a memorandum of understanding had signed with Edufly College which saw the sponsorship of full scholarship programs for 300 underprivileged students which worth 12 Million Ringgit Malaysia in total.

The agreement was successfully made as part of the social welfare project initiated by UPF Malaysia and the ceremony was witnessed by Overseas Director of UPF Malaysia, Rev Yutaka Yamada at Malaysia Peace Embassy.

Then, Rev Yutaka Yamada presented founder’s autobiography to director of Edufly College as souvenir. This significant occasion was also covered by one of the major newspaper in Malaysia, The China Press.

“The youth are the leaders of tomorrow.” This project is to extend and realize the vision of UPF founders, Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon in raising future leaders with the necessary knowledge, skills, character, ethics and morality.

The Managing Director of Edufly College, Mr Yap Keong Foon who is also Ambassador for Peace of UPF was inspired by True Mother at Inauguration of Youth and Students for Peace and then attended Asian Leadership Conference in Thailand. Henceforth, he determined to contribute in youth education through UPF initiatives. So, this education welfare project would certainly cultivate young leaders to achieve goals of national restoration in realizing Vision 2020.
