Benin: Inauguration of YSP

On December 16, 2017, we inaugurated the International Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) in Benin. The event took place at the Palais des Sports Général Mathieu KEREKOU with the massive presence of young people, pupils, students, teachers and executives, coming from different departments of the Country and evaluated at around 1550. The event was co-chaired by the Special Envoy, Mr. Sasaki, President of the FFWPU Benin, Mr Emmanuel ALLOGNON, the Regional President of the YSP Japan, Mr SAKYAMA, the President of the FJPM, Mr Gaétan DANDJESSO, and the President of the CARP, Mr Angel DANNON. After the message by Vice-President of CARP, Miss Aïko ALLOGNON spoke and asked all the youth for an awareness to take to heart the peace and the development of the nation and to use it with an altruistic mentality. After that President of CARP Benin gave his message. He invited all the participants to join CARP training to raise their moral level and broaden their mentality while offering them a very friendly environment.

President of the FFWPU Benin read the inaugural message of the founder of YSP, Dr. Hak Jah HAN MOON. This was followed by a message from Regional President of YSP Japan. Then Professor Albert TEVOEDJRE spoke and greatly appreciated the initiative work for this new organization.

The representative of the Muslim community in Benin, for their part, explained that senior religious leaders have analyzed the values ​​promoted by the Youth Federation for World Peace (FJPM) and have decided to support the birth of the YSP in Benin.

Also the world headquarters of the Church of Christianity supported the event by mobilizing 400 young leaders. The Catholic Community Saint Egidio did not remain on the sidelines of this historic event. The two big public universities (Abomey Calavi and Parakou) were represented as well. Several youth organizations marked their presence at the inauguration of the YSP and all pledged to work together to build a peaceful and prosperous Benin and Africa focused on the Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
