Cameroon: 7-Day Divine Principle Workshop for Youths

A 7 Day Divine Principle workshop for youths of 16 to 23 years old took place from the 16th to the 23rd of July 2017 at the national headquarters of the FFWPU Cameroon.  This workshop was held under the theme, “I resemble True Parents.” This is in line with True Mother’s instructions to raise future talented young people who can inherit True Parents lifestyle and leadership. There were a total of 27 participants (17 males and 10 females).

The purpose of this workshop was to prepare them for a 40-day expedition to the village of Magba, where they shall assist the Heavenly Tribal messiah team to witness and also for them to develop their faith experiences and develop their capacity to support the providence.  The workshop was handled by the national pastor Rev. Edwin Plekhanov and assisted by the vice national pastor Nchia Kamran. The main lecturer was Rev. Stephen Asong.

During the workshop, the participants were kept under a tight daily schedule. They woke up at 3:30 every morning to recite the family pledge 40 times.  After that they continue with HDH at 5 a.m., sports, cleaning of the surroundings and personal clean up before breakfast. After breakfast, they begin lectures and after lectures they have to read and summarize each chapter of the autobiography of True Father. They go to sleep at 10:30 p.m.

After 6 days of deep lectures geared towards the raising of the hearts of the participants were escorted for visit to the holy ground with Rev. Edwin. They cleaned up the surroundings of the holy ground and then they gathered around the center of the holy ground where each person opened up their hearts towards heavenly parent, expressing the determination and resolve to become God’s chosen ones and maintain a pure life of faith. They travelled the next morning with the national pastor and vice-national pastor to Magba where they are currently in their 40 days mobilization and training.
