2017 Oceania Leaders’ Assembly
Prepared by FFWPU Oceania
2017 Oceania Leaders’ General Assembly was held June 19-21, 2017 in Sydney, Australia, to share activities after our General Assembly and to shape our future plans.
The opening prayer by UPF Secretary General Greg Stone was followed by the opening remarks by Regional President Yu Jeong-Deuk. Director Yong Jin-hun from FFWPU International then lectured on God’s Providence and True Parents’ Life Course, with special focus on recent worldwide activities of True Mother. It was a time to remember the status of the victorious Bride.
From the afternoon session on the first day, we had reports presented by national representatives from each nation. They spoke about their recent activities and assessed the future. Then came time for discussion to find more effective activities and projects that could enhance our work for Vision 2020.
Towards the end, we had presentations from the regional directors of the three departments (Witnessing and Education, Blessed Families, and Youth and Students). Once again we had a clear explanation of the role of these directors in these three fields—they were assigned to each continent last year. During the discussion, questions were raised about world mission strategy, and how the department leaders would act in solidarity in the future. National leaders pledged to communicate with the three directors in the future in carrying out plans and activities.
