by FFWPU USA, Rev. Chuck Frumin

In honor of the UN’s “World Interfaith Harmony Week” the Kona Family Fellowship along with the Pacific Rim Education Foundation in Kona sponsored an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast on February 10, 2017 at the beautiful Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden in Kona, Hawaii.

The various faiths represented were Baha’i Faith, St. Micheal’s Catholic Church, Iglesia La Luz de Mundo, Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Ecumenical Church of Light, New Thought Center, Seventh Day Adventist, Mauna Ziona Congregational Church and Kona Family Church.

Farley Jones, president of the Pacific Rim Education Foundation, was the emcee for the event. Rev. Chuck Frumin from the Kona Family Church said the opening prayer.

After a wonderful breakfast meal, 23 participants from nine different faith traditions heard a talk from Ali’i Keanaaina, the associate pastor of the Mauna Ziona Congregational Church.

Ali’i spoke on the relationship between ancient Hawaiian religious thought and Western Christianity.

All participants had an inspirational experience and another prayer breakfast was planned for the near future.
