Uganda: Inauguration of YFWP Local Chapter

We successfully inaugurated youth federation for world peace in the district of Wakiso and also inaugurated ambassadors for peace and youth ambassadors for peace from that very district.
We had over 50 youth leaders from over 6 local governments, 2 chairpersons and one assistant chairperson among our participants.
The event started by reading the founder’s address for Youth Federation for World Peace, which was done by Corrie Kempiiha vice president of YFWP Uganda. This was followed by a speech from the youth mobilizer who is also a youth representative to the area local government.
Later, Ssuuna James, president of YFWP Uganda gave a details explaining the mission of the organization as well as emphasizing on the core principles of the organization and how the youth can have a positive contribution to their society.
This was followed by the speech from Mr. Gimeyi Moses, Secretary General pf the UPF Uganda who talked about how youth can prepare for a good marriage and reasons why the youth need to have a good marriage.
There were other speeches from the vice chairman of another local government and the representative of the local chairman who could not attend the event also gave a speech. Finally, the guest of honor who is a town council mayor delivered his speech and he applauded the youth federation for having good impact in his area and he pledged to support the organization in his area. He then launched the organization.
This event organized in the local government hall, in a cooperation between our organization and the local government chairman.
At the end of the event, we honored 2 ambassadors for peace and 2 youth ambassadors for peace in the area. Some of the youth were inspired and registered to become youth federation associate members.
