Pakistan: The 5th RYS Program

UPF Pakistan organized the RYS program at the Temple road, Lahore, Pakistan on Octber 2-6, 2016. The theme of the program was “Creating Unity: Breaking Barriers.” 25 young people joined the program from different faith. This is the 5th RYS project in Pakistan.

In the opening session chief guest Mr. Binod Dangi, Secretary General of UPF Nepal said we can start religious harmony of creating unity from young religious leaders and we can break all our barriers centering on one God. In the opening session different faith leaders gave speech about RYS.

Mr. Binod Paudel, National of Pakistan explained on the vision and mission of Founder of RYS Dr. Sun Myung Moon.


Mr. Piya Ratna Maharjan South Asia Coordinator of RYS gave presentation to participants.

Service project was held in the together with Caritas Pakistan in Lahore city. There was a constriction of church building where RYS contributed.

We had visited different religious sites. One of it is Jamia Masjid, Bahria Town, Lahore which is the One of the largest mosque of Asia. Another one is the Badshah Temple which is the oldest Hindu temple in the area.

In the closing session chief guest was the Hon. Mrs. Rashida Yaqeeb, MP and Parliamentary Secretary for Social welfare department. She said the today’s youth must work for world peace and religious harmony. She distributed graduation certificates to all participants.
