International Day of Peace in Kenya

Deputy chief Kadhi Hon Rashid Omar called for a need for family policy to revitalize and consolidate the institution of the family as part of advancing UPF union in Nairobi Kenya, on October 1st 2016.he spoke this on the occasion to mark Eid Ul -hajj and International day of peace co-sponsored by the Judiciary (Kadhi Court) and Universal Peace Federation Kenya. The occasion was held at the Kadhi‘s Court yard.
Hon Omar declared Al Shaabab as criminals disguised as Muslims (Islamic adherence) and therefore should be dealt with according to the law of the land. Islam as a religion advocates for peace and such its adherents are peace guided. It was the first time a senior Muslim cleric came openly and clearly in condemnation of the terror group Al Shaabab.
As a special gift to this noble occasion the Hon Omar announced that the parking yard within the Kadhi Court yard would be open for Sundays for the Catholic faithful attending the mass at the nearby Don Bosco Sanctuary which is a great victory for the interfaith course.
The occasion attracted over 100 participants drawn from all sectors of society, including religious, academia, corporate, government, political, civil society and media.

This occasion marked the third leg and last segment of international day of peace celebration in Kenya already we’ve submitted the report on the first segment-public university student leaders workshop in Mombasa Kenya. The second leg united religious initiative will be submitted in due course.
