Uganda: Micro Gardening Project
By CARP Uganda: On April 23, 2016, carp students from Makerere and Kampala universities continued our initiative work on micro gardening project. The current efforts are tailored towards establishing a micro gardening demonstration plot at peace embassy in Kampala where different community groups will always convene for micro gardening training.
Our activities this time included transplanting and potting of indeterminate maxim f.1 hybrid tomatoes. For the next program, we are looking forwarding to staking.
Discussions were also carried out with an aim of modifying the previously also agreed fish farming project. We are going to meet again on May 30, 2016 to dig up a fish pond at Sasamoto training center Busabala.
Students from two different universities learnt how to share knowledge especially in urban micro gardening and how to become leaders who can serve the people and their nation.
