Dominican Republic: 6th OH HAPPY DAY
BY FFWPU Dominican Republic, Leonidas Belliard: Since the opening of the new center Carp last year, driven by our special envoy, Rev. Dae Hee Hong together with the national leader, Mr. Leonidas Belliard, the Family Federation in the Dominican Republic, started an intensive daily witness campaign with the support of the Cheon Il Guk missionaries for the college students of the state University, UASD.
With this campaign also started the celebration of “Oh Happy Day” to be held every three months with the intention to welcome the new members of our Unification family. In preparation for “the 6th Oh Happy Day Celebration”, Carp had a 4-days DP seminar during the holiday of eastern with the participation of 34 university students at the FFWPU headquarters, where we diviner principle lectures for all our seminars. Also in the same way, young people of the second generation, HARP, had another simultaneous 4-day seminar with the theme “Let be the Light Shine in the World of Darkness”, to have a better understand the heart of True Parents and Hanul Pumonim. This seminar was attended by 23 young people from the second generation.
With such preparation, this 6th Oh Happy Day, was held on April 3, 2016. We had 160 participants, and among them there were 21 young university student who signed the membership form, receiving the certificate of new member and a Divine Principle book as a gift. Rev. Hong, our special envoy, opend the event with a deep and strong prayer. He blssed the new members in his prayer and promised to work hard to realize the ideal of True Parents and to bring others, who can understand the heart of Heavenly Parent.
The welcoming remarks were given by Mr. Leonidas Belliard, while the central message was given by the national director of CARP, Mr. Bernardo Cruz.
After sharing a lunch, four home groups performed their artistic talents to welcome new members. The home Church of Villa Linda, gain the first prize, the Group CARP, gain the second place, while the group “Ecological Foundation” from Villa Mella, reached third place, the fourth place, was occupied by “Renacer” home church.
All of the new members expressed how deep they felt love of the heavenly Parent and True Parents and they determined to go forward beyond their limitation. The event concluded with three cheers of ok-mansei led by Rev. Takashi Kono.
