Celebratory Testimony on the Occasion of the 56th Anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding

By Moon Lan Young, Special Emissary to FFWPU-Europe

3.16 by the Heavenly Calendar in the 4th Year of Cheon Il Guk (April 22, 2016)

Respected leaders of Cheon Il Guk, beloved members,

I am pleased to meet you today.

While I was in Europe, I missed the Korean Spring. However, on this beautiful spring day, True Mother has invited us to this beautiful spring garden in Cheon Jeong Gung to celebrate this historic day. I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude to True Parents for inviting me and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate True Parents on the 56th anniversary of their Holy Wedding.

Following True Father’s ascension, True Mother had to surmount tremendous pain and carry the entire weight of the providence; let us give our beautiful and proud True Mother a big round of applause for leading the providence to firmly establish Cheon Il Guk.

I joined the church in March 1955 through the guidance of Mrs. Choi Jung Soon. I had just enrolled in grade 7. My family originally lived in Wonsan, Hamkyung province, North Korea but they fled to the south due to the Korean War. Through Mrs. Choi Won Bok, they were witnessed and were able to leave behind the pain of living as displaced civilians surrounded by the ruins of war. When she was witnessed, my mother was so happy, saying “I have found a new heaven and a new earth!”

At that time, we learned and knew through the Divine Principle that some day, the returning Lord’s Marriage of the Lamb would take place and we would all meet our ideal spouses and be given the responsibility to form ideal families. However we did not at all think about ‘when’ and ‘how’ this would happen.

In early 1960, as I entered grade 12 in the girls’ high school, I began hearing news about True Father’s Holy Wedding. The name of Father’s bride-to-be was not the name of well-known sisters in the church at the time; it was a name so unfamiliar that everyone was taken by surprise and wondered who this person was. What was more surprising was that this bride-to-be was 23 years younger than Father and was still a high school student.

Seonghwa students were not allowed into the main Holy Wedding ceremony and as a result, I could not personally attend. However, my mother said the following, “The bride is truly beautiful; her features and voice are elegant; even though she is young, she was did not look embarrassed at all. She and Father looked like a beautiful couple.” Then, she added, “The Satanic world is so intimidating; Heaven selected the bride and hid her well, sending her only at the appropriate time.” The spiritual revelation of grandmother Ji Sung Do and the testimony of Heung Soon Ae Daemonim helped me understand the profound and mysterious ways of Heaven’s providence.

For the first time since the creation of the cosmos, the Marriage of the Lamb the Heavenly Parent had yearned for so profoundly took place. This was a cosmic event; a historic turning point and the event marking the beginning of the era of Cheon Il Guk. The truth is, I did not realize how important this event was at the time.

In the year following True Parents’ Holy Wedding, I began attending Sook Myung Women’s University; it is located in Chongpadong, Seoul. The small office room of church president Yoo Kwang Ryul was a meeting place for Seonghwa students and college students. Since it was on the way coming back from college, I would naturally and frequently pass by the church. As a result, I was able to meet True Parents closely on several occasions. I also saw Ye Jin-nim, Hyo Jin-nim and other True Children while they were small.

Looking back, I realize that since her Holy Wedding in the HQ Church in Chongpadong, True Mother’s life has been one filled with unspeakable hardships and suffering. However, just like Pilgrim’s Progress, True Mother beautifully overcame all these difficulties. I feel so sorry for not properly understanding [Mother’s course] at that time. Now that I am old, I may have matured a little, but as a fellow woman, I feel that without even considering True Mother’s holy mission as the True Mother of humanity, her sacrifices, patience, gentle true love and wise leadership demand endless respect, gratitude, love and comfort.

I can frankly confess that this heart of devotion I have toward True Mother has been engraved more deeply and clearly in my heart during the past two years when I was appointed as Special Emissary to Europe and toured 30 nations and more than 100 churches. As she dispatched us, True Mother asked the Special Emissaries to love and encourage members on her behalf. However, when I met countless brothers and sisters who have absolute faith about the providence, my husband and I received great inspiration and grace.

Whether first or second generations, everyone loves True Parents; they long to come to Cheongpyeong, where True Parents reside. They fondly remember the precious moments they met True Mother. Every time we meet members, it is as if they had all agreed to ask the same thing; they all ask about Mother’s health and how she is. They tearfully ask our couple to convey their love to True Parents.

As we tour various parts of the world, we meet the precious sons and daughters who believe in and follow True Parents and we come to feel even more profoundly the stature and value of our True Parents.

It is the same when I meet with various Peace Ambassadors who have met True Parents. Before coming to Korea, I was touring Albania and as soon as the Albanian Peace Ambassadors met me, they first asked about how is True Mother. They mentioned that they pray every day so that Mother Moon can visit Albania one more time. Even though we can no longer see True Father on the earth, we are so blessed, happy and grateful to have the beautiful and young True Mother with us here.

We are so grateful that we can clearly and profoundly understand the profound Will of Heaven in preparing True Mother, who is much younger than True Father.

Dear True Mother,

I would like to congratulate you once more on the 56th anniversary of your Holy Wedding. I would like to convey the profound love and gratitude of all the European members.

Furthermore, we all make a new resolve and are determined to do our utmost to bring forth the day when all 7.3 billion people around the world will become the proud citizens of Cheon Il Guk.
